(III) Storage Period

We only retain your personal information for the shortest period necessary to achieve the purposes stated in this Policy. After the expiration of this period, we will securely delete or anonymize your personal information in accordance with legal requirements and internal data management specifications, unless laws, regulations, or regulatory requirements specify a longer retention period.

III. How We Share Your Information with Third Parties

We promise not to sell your personal information to any third parties (except as required by laws and regulations). To realize specific functions or services of "Gi Space", we may cooperate with carefully selected third-party service providers that meet privacy protection standards. Such cooperation may be achieved through cloud server docking, SDK/API calls, or plug-in integration. We will sign strict Data Processing Agreements (DPA) with third parties, clarify their data protection obligations and responsibilities, require them to use your information only within the scope necessary to provide services to us, and adopt adequate security protection measures.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to the services of third-party service providers. We strongly recommend that you carefully read the privacy policies and service terms of third parties before using relevant functions. The specific cooperating third parties and the scope of information sharing are as follows:

  1. Weather service provider (Accuweather): To provide you with local weather information and assist in triggering smart scenarios, we will share your geographical location information with it (after obtaining your authorization). You can refer to Accuweather's Privacy Policy for details;
  2. AWS Cloud Services (Amazon Web Services): We use cloud service components in the AWS North America Region to manage smart device connections and data processing. AWS may obtain necessary information such as the unique identifier of your mobile device, WLAN network SSID, and network name. You can refer to AWS's Legal Notices and Privacy Policy for details;
  3. Push notification service providers: iOS systems use APNs (Apple Push Notification service), and Android systems use FCM (Firebase Cloud Messaging) to send you notifications in scenarios such as device failures, device sharing, account login from other locations, and firmware update reminders. Relevant service platforms may collect information such as the unique identifier of your mobile phone (e.g., Device Token). You can refer to Apple's Privacy Policy and Google's Legal Notices and Privacy Policy for details respectively.

You can disable the push permission of "Gi Space" through the notification center in your mobile phone system settings. After disabling, you will not be able to receive the above notifications, which may affect your timely awareness of device status;
4. App crash analysis service provider (Tencent Bugly): To optimize app stability, when the app crashes abnormally, we will upload program operation key logs without any personal information (such as error codes, device system version) to Bugly's servers for fault analysis and repair. You can refer to Bugly SDK's Privacy Protection Statement for details;
5. Browser service provider (Tencent TBS/X5 Browser): To provide in-app browser functions, it may collect your mobile device identifier and basic device information (such as model, system version). You can refer to the TBS Developer Service Agreement for details.

Some functions of "Gi Space" require obtaining relevant permissions of your mobile device. We will only request your permission when you use the function for the first time, and you can adjust the permission status (agree or refuse) through your mobile phone system settings at any time. The specific permissions and their usage purposes are as follows:

  1. Location permission: Used to obtain your geographical location, provide local weather information, and ensure accurate triggering of smart scenario automation;
  2. Camera permission: Used to scan the QR code on the device body to complete binding when manually adding a device;
  3. Photo album access permission: Used to select pictures from your mobile phone album when setting an avatar;
  4. Bluetooth permission: Used to automatically search for nearby Bluetooth-enabled smart devices when adding a device, and transmit device configuration information and local WLAN information through Bluetooth;
  5. Notification permission: Used to send you in-app notifications, device alarms, account security reminders, and other information;
  6. Storage permission: Used to write app operation logs, record relevant information when the program is abnormal, and assist in fault diagnosis and function optimization.

If you refuse or disable a certain permission, it will only result in the inability to use the functions relying on that permission normally, and will not affect the availability of other irrelevant functions. We will not restrict your use of the core services of "Gi Space" because you refuse non-essential permissions.

(II) Access and Correction of Your Personal Information

You can independently access, view, and correct your personal information through the following paths:

However, this operation will not affect data already stored on the server. The app will still collect necessary information according to your current authorization during operation;
  2. Uninstalling the app: After uninstalling the "Gi Space" app, the personal data stored locally will be deleted synchronously. We will not continue to collect any information after you uninstall the app, but the data stored on the server before uninstallation will be retained in accordance with the provisions of "Storage Period" in Chapter II of this Policy;
  3. Account deletion: You can apply to cancel your account through "Profile" -> "Personal Settings" -> "Delete Account" in the app. After account cancellation, we will delete all your personal information and device data stored locally in the app and on the server. This operation is irreversible, and the data cannot be recovered after deletion. Please proceed with caution;
  4. Revocation of permission consent: You can find "Gi Space" in your mobile phone system settings and disable the authorized permissions. We will immediately stop collecting and using your relevant information based on that permission, but the historical data already stored locally and on the server will continue to be retained (unless you also apply for deletion). After revoking consent, the services relying on that permission may not be provided normally.

(IV) Other Statutory Rights

In accordance with applicable laws, you also enjoy the following rights:

  1. Right to data portability: Request us to provide a copy of your personal information in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, or assist you in transmitting the information to another compliant data processor designated by you (in line with technical feasibility and security requirements);
